2, 4, 11, 37, 151, 771, 4633

Question

Accepted Answer

Step 1: Index the terms as $a_1=2,a_2=4,a_3=11,a_4=37,a_5=151,a_6=771,a_7=4633$.

Step 2: Observe the recurrence $a_{n+1}=a_n	imes n+(n+1)$ and verify:

- $a_2=2	imes1+2=4$
- $a_3=4	imes2+3=11$
- $a_4=11	imes3+4=37$

Step 3: Apply the rule to $a_4$ to get the expected $a_5$:

- Expected $a_5=37	imes4+5=148+5=153$, but the given term is $151$, so $151$ is incorrect.

Step 4: Confirm the rest follow from the correct $a_5=153$:

- $a_6=153	imes5+6=765+6=771$
- $a_7=771	imes6+7=4626+7=4633$

Therefore the wrong number in the series is 151.
