In a certain code language, ‘FACED’ is written as ‘GZDDE’ and ‘VACAY’ is written as ‘WZDZZ’. How will ‘LABOR’ be written in that language?

Question

Accepted Answer

Step 1: Analyze the given examples.

FACED -> GZDDE
VACAY -> WZDZZ

Step 2: Compare each letter of the original word with the coded word.

For FACED:
F -> G (F+1)
A -> Z (A-1, but since A is 1st letter, Z is 26th, so A-1 = Z)
C -> D (C+1)
E -> D (E-1)
D -> E (D+1)

For VACAY:
V -> W (V+1)
A -> Z (A-1)
C -> D (C+1)
A -> Z (A-1)
Y -> Z (Y+1)

Step 3: Pattern observed:
Positions 1,3,5: letter +1
Positions 2,4: letter -1

Step 4: Apply the pattern to LABOR:
L (12) +1 = M (13)
A (1) -1 = Z (26)
B (2) +1 = C (3)
O (15) -1 = N (14)
R (18) +1 = S (19)

So, LABOR -> MZCNS
