Question

The following sentence has been divided into three segments. One of them may contain an error. Select the option that has the segment with the error. If you don’t find any error, select ‘No error’ as your answer.

Mr. Ali’s shop / is further to / the hospital.

Accepted Answer

The phrase 'is further to' is incorrect in this context. The correct preposition to indicate distance or location relative to a place is 'from'. The correct sentence should be: 'Mr. Ali’s shop is further from the hospital.' Therefore, the error lies in the segment 'is further to'.
